From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Chief Constable Cambridge Boro. to Superintendent Martin – Stolen from a shop door about 1 o’clock today a greenish brown driving overcoat, value one guinea, large brown buttons, plaid lining, supposed by a man of the following description, age about 44, height 5 ft 6 or 7, light brown hair & whiskers, medium build, wearing a cap, had the appearance of a tramping labourer.
