From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent W. Reynolds to All Divisions – A man of the following description obtained two pairs of boots by false pretences at Hatfield on 29th January last, about 45, 5 ft 9 or 10, complexion dark, moustache clipped short and turning grey otherwise clean shaven, dressed brown jacket and cap, had the appearance of a labourer. Should any man answering this description be arrested for a similar offence kindly let me know with a view to identification.
