From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Wood to All Stations – Copy of message from Beds Boro Police stolen in this Boro a pair of mens boots size 6, plate heel and toes, pointed toe caps, nailed with four brads each foot by a man 23 or 24, fair complexion, thin face, clean shaven, dressed dark jacket and vest, light grey trousers, old lace boots, dark cloth peak sailor cap, speaks with an Irish accent, states he has been in racing stables in Belfast, if found please detain and wire to Police as above.
