From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Duke to All Stations – Stolen from a portable fowl house situated in a stock yard at Rensley Farm, Standon between 28 Oct and 3rd Nov 02, 20 fowls mixed breeds consisting of Plymouth Rock, Buff and White Wyandotte and Dorkings value 2/6 each the property of Marsena Oliver. Also strayed from a meadow near Rye House, between 28 and 30 Oct a brown and white steer about 12 months old property of William Pepper. Transmitted to Sawbridgeworth.
