From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Inspector in charge Ware to All Stations – Copy of message from Metro Police Cheshunt. Stolen during the night of 16th supposed by a tramp. 4 mens jacket suits, 2 grey tweed 2 brown, 1 black and grey plaid jacket and vest, 2 Oxford shirts light check the Vulcan on collar, one black and white silk muffler, one pair of lace boots all new some of them supposed to be worn by thief as some old clothing was left behind.
