From: Telephone message book: 11 Aug 1902 - 27...From Superintendent Duke to B and F Divisions – Strayed from a field at Ware on the night of 2nd Inst, property of Mrs Eleanor Smith, Ware, a white nanny goat, no full milk, fawn on side, black mark centre of back, horns 4 to 6 ins long, small piece bitten out of one ear, wearing a leather collar with brass studs.
Also found straying at Ware on 16th Inst a fawn colour nanny goat, black mark down centre of back, horns 6 to 8 ins long now shut …..
