Superintendent Hassell circulated details of a missing girl to All Stations – Missing from her home in Queens Road, Harpenden since 2 p.m. on the 19th Inst, Dorothy Hale aged 11 years, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes dressed in a cotton dress with blue flowers, grey jacket, white underwear, straw hat trimmed with blue cotton, low shoes.
