Received information from Mr Betts of Hadham Hall regarding a missing spaniel. Subsequent enquiries failed to produce any clues.

Received information that three shirts, one apron and a pair of cord trousers had been stolen from a clothesline in an Orchard at Ford Hill, Little Hadham, property of James White. Enquiries were made throughout the neighbourhood but failed to lead to any clues.

Called out at 8pm as Thomas Perry, a labourer from Little Hadham, was drunk and disorderly in the street at Hadham Ford. He was taken home.

Fredrick Ettridge of Little Hadham and Fredrick Wallace of Albury were found drunk and fighting outside the Hen & Chickens Beer House at 4.30pm.

Visited Kiln Farm with Sergeant Gibbs to make enquiries regarding a case of swine fever. The farm foreman, Mr Edward Black, informed that 25 of the 46 pigs on the premises had either died or been killed and were subsequently buried with lime. He had made the issue known to Superintendent Webb the week prior.

While patrolling Hadham Ford at 10am, the officer noticed that a clay hut had been burned down during the night of November 5th 1889. The property belonged to Mr Gillet and was uninsured.
