Police officer took lodgings in Hertford as there was no train to Hadham until the morning.

Fire at Green Tye Hill
At 2.25am a fire appeared to be heading in the direction of Green Tye Hill. Upon arriving it became clear that it was much further away. Also served a summons on Fredrick Ettridge and Thomas Perry.
