Visited Kiln Farm with Sergeant Gibbs to make enquiries regarding a case of swine fever. The farm foreman, Mr Edward Black, informed that 25 of the 46 pigs on the premises had either died or been killed and were subsequently buried with lime. He had made the issue known to Superintendent Webb the week prior.
