PC Milton attended Much Hadham and with PC 176 Hart escorted three prisoners, Arthur, Henry and George Warwick to Bishops Stortford Police Station. He later received a payment with regard to his duty at the Brent Pelham Flower Show. He also served a Summons on an Eliza Felsted.

PC Milton was instructed to travel by train to Hertford for duty during the Royal Visit of the Prince and Princess of Wales. (The Prince of Wales went to Hertford to swear in the Marquis of Salisbury as the High Steward of the Borough and to open the new buildings of Christ’s Hospital – Ed.)
