Copy of route form from Shropshire Constabulary, Superintendent’s Office, Ludlow, 1st August 02. William Lawson, remanded in custody until 8th inst., charged with housebreaking at Court of Hill, Burford, on 31st July 1902. No fixed abode, labourer, aged 29 years. Height 5ft 2in without shoes, complexion fresh (thin features). Hair and slight moustache dark brown, eyes dark brown, build slender, Native of Geddington, Northamptonshire. States he is single. Dress grey cloth cap, grey cloth coat & vest, brown cloth trousers, striped cotton shirt, brown socks & old light lace up boots. The above-named states that he has been convicted of Larceny & twice for Game Trespass at Geddington, and at Salop Assizes in Feb 1900 for Arson & sentenced to 18 months imprisonment with hard labour & was released in February last & has been convicted at Leicester & Nottingham for refusing to work at Workhouse and also at Warwick for begging.
