From: Supt Wood To: All Stations Stolen from a dwelling house at Roslyn Road, Watford about 2 pm today by opening a window, a cash box containing about £8, mostly in gold, and some insurance papers, also a lady’s tan hogskin purse containing 30s/= or 40s/= in gold & silver, & about 15s/= in silver lying loose on sideboard. And a bunch of keys with one fitting cash box. Property of Mrs Constance Denniston, supposed by a man buying rags, bottles & bones about that time. Age 30 to 35, height about 5ft 3, dark complexion, hair whiskers & moustache, dress grey check cap, dark jacket & vest, & dark trousers.Police officer
