Escort Of Prisoners To Court Then Gaol
From: Officers' Journal; Robert Milton PC 160PC Milton attended Bishops Stortford and escorted Arthur and Henry Warwick to Much Hadham Petty Sessions. He later escorted them by train to St Albans Prison.
(From the Herts and Cambs Recorder and Royston Crow 10th August 1906 – Thursday (yesterday) before W. Minet, Esq. (in the chair) and T. W. Mott, Esq.—Two cases of assault were heard and resulted in convictions. Arthur Warwick was convicted of assaulting George Tinsley at Green Tye on the 4th inst., and fined 10s. with 11s. 6d. costs, or in default seven days’ imprisonment. Four members of the Warwick family, Arthur Warwick, Henry Warwick, and George Warwick, with their sister, Mrs. Felsted, were also convicted of assaulting PS Jaquest on the 4th inst., when he went to quell the row, which lasted from 10.45 p.m. to 12.30. The three brothers were each sentenced to 7 days’ imprisonment and their sister was fined 5s., or a similar term of imprisonment. The two sentences on Arthur Warwick were to run consecutively – Ed.)
