2nd Lieutenant Duncan, attached to the aerodrome at London Colney, near St Albans, was flying over Woolmers Park on Saturday afternoon when his machine nose-dived and crashed to earth just outside the park, not far from Letty Green church.  The machine was wrecked and the aviator was found unconscious , but fortunately no bones were broken.

Doctor R. Odell and Police Sergeant Palmer motored to the scene and conveyed Lieutenant Duncan to the County Hospital where he is still retained but is making satisfactory progress towards recovery from concussion.
