The Police Force At Hertford

Hertfordshire Mercury, 16th February 1907

Transcript

Mr H. Barker had given notice to call attention to the fact that there were no police officers on duty all night at the Hertford Police Station, and moved to a resolution; but he said the had had a conversation with the Chief Constable, Colonel Daniel, who said he had no desire to go against the wishes of the Corporation in this matter, and if it were held over a short time he should be pleased to recommend an extra Constable be supplied to the Borough. Under these circumstances Mr Baker withdrew his notice.
