Hertfordshire Mercury, 1st September 1906.

PC Compton, who has been stationed at Welwyn for just upon three years, is about to be transferred to a station in the E Division, and a constable from that Division will be drafted to Welwyn.

(This is believed to be Boston Compton as his father, PC 119 Jeremiah Compton, retired in January 1906.)
