Increase Of The Police Force

Transcript

The Standing Joint Committee reported that they had had under consideration an application from the Chief Constable for an increase in the police force of two Sergeants and eleven Constables, all of these excepting two Constables being required at Watford, the remainder being wanted for Garden City and Fleetville, St Albans.

The increase would involve an additional expense of £1,100 per annum,£550 of which amount would be chargeable to the police rate.
