Talk by James Nicolson.  This is the story of my uncle, also called James Nicolson, who was the only fighter pilot to be awarded the Victoria Cross during the whole of the Second World War.  This was for an action at the height of the Battle of Britain and my story touches both the event itself and the politics around the award and the subsequent impact it had on him and his family.
