Using Bad Language

At Hertford Borough Sessions Jane Cockman, of Green Street, pleaded guilty to using bad language in Railway Street on Saturday night last.  P.S. Palmer said that he saw the defendant enter the Diamond public-house with her seven months’ old baby in her arms at 9.30 p.m. and he warned the landlord, who refused to serve her.  The woman then came out and abused the witness.  A fine of 10s. was inflicted.
