Yelling in the Street

At Ware Petty Sessions on Tuesday, Harold Newton, of Baldock Street, Ware, pleaded not guilty to a summons for hooting and yelling, on August 10th.

P.C. Hill proved the case, stating that on Sunday, August 5th, at 10 p.m. he heard the defendant hooting and yelling in West Street and the Market Place, and in spite of the fact that he cautioned him he continued shouting. The defendant denied the charge. A fine of 10 shillings including costs was inflicted.
