Before MUCH HADHAM PETTY SESSIONS

BAD LANGUAGE – Arthur Bury, of Little Hadham, pleaded guilty to using bad language in the main street of Much Hadham on May 20th. P.S. Jaquest said at 9.30 p.m. on the night in question defendant took off his coat, used very bad language, and wanted to fight. Although urged to go home, he repeated the language and was half an hour before he started homeward. Frank Harvey Chapman, a clerk, corroborated.

Defendant was fined 7s. 6d. including costs and allowed a week to pay.
