Two farmers fined

At Royston Petty Sessions on Wednesday, John Hugh Smyth, a farmer, of Guilden Morden, was fined 10s. and 15s. costs for moving a cow along the High Street at Ashwell on December 23, in contravention of the Foot & Mouth Disease Order, 1914.

James Brockett, a farmer, of Steeple Morden, was ordered to pay 20s. for moving 12 pigs from Cambridgeshire into Hertfordshire without a licence, at Ashwell on November 24.
