Joseph Hubbard was charged with assaulting Arthur Knight at Hitchin on August 6th, 1910. The parties are labourers living at Hitchin. Knight said that while standing on the doorstep of his lodgings, Hubbard came up and struck at him without getting any provocation. Inspector Peck said he saw the attempt Hubbard made. Hubbard declared that he recollected nothing of what happened. He was fined 1s. with 7s.6d. costs.
