Bad language

William Varney a labourer, of Park Lane, Waltham Cross, was summoned for using bad language on Wormley High Road, on October 20th.

Pcs Gray and Hawkins proved the case.

Defendant expressed his regret and said he was in drink at the time.

He was fined 2s. 6d. and costs.

Drunkenness

William Welch, a labourer, of Camp Cottages, Freezywater, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and using bad language at Waltham Cross on October 28th. Pc West proved the case and defendant was fined 5 shillings.

John Hayden, a labourer of Waltham Cross, was fined 5 shillings. for being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Waltham Cross, on November 2nd.
