No sleep for two days

At Cheshunt Petty Sessions Walter Mansfield, of Flamstead End, summoned for not having proper control of two horses and wagon, at Cheshunt, on June 29, did not appear.  P.C. Green proved finding Mansfield asleep in a wagon drawn by two horses.  He said he was sorry, but he had not had any sleep for two days.  A warrant for his arrest was ordered, but the Bench afterwards withdrew this decision and imposed a fine of 2s. 6d..
