Robert Cook (35), of 8 Davies Street, Hertford, was summoned for permitting the carcasses of five small pigs to be exposed on a manure heap in The Meads so that dogs could get at and devour them, contrary to the Dogs Act, 1906. He pleaded not guilty. P.C. Palmer, of Stapleford, gave evidence of finding the dead pigs, and Cook was fined 10 shillings.
