An oversight

At Cheshunt Petty Sessions on Wednesday, Mary Russell, of South Lodge, Hoddesdon, was summoned for keeping a dog without a licence at Hoddesdon on September 9.  The defendant did not appear and PC Wilsmore proved the case.  The defendant wrote a letter stating that in consequence of illness the licence had been overlooked.  Fined 7s. 6d..
